Hoko Ex is a preventive and long-acting fly repellent for controlling fly larvae of the housefly Musca domestica and the biting fly Stomoxys calcitrans in manure, bedding, manure and slurry pits and slurry. Hoko Ex contains a growth inhibitor that acts specifically on fly larvae, but has no effect on adult flies. The fly problem is thus solved before it actually occurs, as the fly larvae do not develop.
Hoko Ex contains the active ingredient cyromazine, which works by inhibiting the fly larvae’s skeletonisation so that they die during growth. Hoko Ex is effective against resistant flies.
As Hoko Ex works in the larval stage, it is best used preventively before there are too many flies.
